Ms Shandana Gulzar Khan, Parliamentary Secretary was the Chief Guest of the event ‘Green Pakistan’, organized by National Tariff Commission (NTC) on Wednesday, 7th August, 2019 at Damn-e-Koh, Islamabad.  

The objective of the campaign was to create awareness amongst the masses to support Government of Pakistan’s Policy of Clean, Green and Sustainable Environment.  Independence Day celebrations were also part of the event, which included cake cutting, singing of national anthem and patriotic songs.

A number of renowned political and social personalities also joined the event. All officers, staff and their families participated in the activity. The event also invoked keen interest of media.  

Ms Shandana appreciated the efforts of the National Tariff Commission to organize the current Green Pakistan Drive at Daman e Koh and the earlier ‘Clean and Plastic free’ drive held in the surroundings of Faisal Masjid and Trail 6. She observed that plantation is necessary for a healthy, clean and sustainable environment. She also mentioned that such activities need to be organized frequently for a health and cooperative office environment besides providing the Officers and Staff to demonstrate the spirit of teamwork and efficient performance.
