Muhammad Iqbal Tabish is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of eminence in Public and Private sector paradigm. Prior to joining NTC, he held several key positions i.e. CEO of PIDC, Chairman PACO, SEL; and Morafco Industries Pvt. Ltd; CEO of NIP and PGJDC under the aegis of Ministry of Industries and Production, Pakistan. Earlier, he served for SAARC and headed its Apex Body SAARC CCI as Secretary General. He also served TDAP, Ministry of Commerce as Senior Economist/Head of (R& I), WTO Cell and Director (R&D)- at FPCCI.

He has been Associated with notable international organizations as Member i.e. BAC-UN-ESCAP, PPRC – Climate Investment Fund, Working Group on S. Asia Standards- SIS (Sweden) in addition to association with Policy institutes/ Think tanks in S.Asia and SDPl in particular. He had been Member, Board of Directors/ Governors of PIDC, PASDEC, NIP, TUSDEC, LUMS etc; He also headed several projects in partnership with international organizations FNF, GIZ, WBG and UNDP.

Currently a PhD Scholar, he possess M.Phil/MS (Management Sciences) from BIZTEK, M.B.A (Finance) from Newport’s University and Master Degree in Economics (KU) and passed out Central Superior Services(CSS) Examination held in 998 as well.

He has eminently contributed to literatures in disciplines of trade, financial cooperation, energy and climate change and has in-depth knowledge of International Trade norms, tariff renationalization and WTO regime.
